Question / Help Streaming with mid level laptop

Hey guys. What settings should be lowered if I am streaming through a laptop with a 2.3GHz i5 (4th Gen)? I have been streaming CoD from an Xbox 360 with an Elgato. I used the recomended settings after answering the questions in the estimator, but my FPS have been dropping and I get the skipping frames error quite a bit. I get 50 down and 30 up so my internet should not be a problem, I just don't know what settings I should lower and which I can leave to improve the stream, if there is anything that can be done. I don't have a log to post because I am at work. I am streaming in 720p with a bit rate of 2500 at the moment. I have no hangups about lowering any of the settings, but I would just like to know if I can keep the bit rate high and lower the resolution, vice versa, or lower both. I have it set at 30FPS with the resolution 1920 x 1080 scaled down to 1260 x 720.

Thanks

I won't be able to until tonight. I was hoping this was something that could be answered without a log, but if not I will post it when I get home later tonight.

You should probably consider switching to the "quicksync" encoder if you're currently experiencing high cpu usage (and that seems to be the case).
