Question / Help Streaming window in background?

Hello,

firts of all, I'd like to apologize, but I'm really terrible at searching stuff in english and I couldn't find any topics about this.

This is more "Is it possible to..." than "How to do..." type of question.

My settings:
I'd like to stream League of Legends, but without any other stuff from my screen.
I use 32-bit OBS (for game source) and 3 layers of sources:
- background image 1920 1080
- window capture (LoL PVP client, smaller window)
- game capture (Actual game, borderless, 1920 1080)

Everything works fine. I got this background image and LoL client in the middle of the screen and if I start a game it switches to full screen gameplay and I can freely alt+tab and use internet browser etc. without showing it to the potential viewers. But ... only while playing the game (streaming the game source). If I'm not playing (streaming the image+window source(game client)) I can't switch to other windows without showing their parts covering the LoL Client which is in the background.

Is it possible to change the settings somehow, that it ONLY streams the LoL client even if I'm, for example, on the facebook and Firefox is covering it ?

I do not have 2 monitors. I know this would be another way how to do it but I can't afford another one atm.

I hope you understand what I mean. If you don't and you'd like to, I could provide you with some screenshots or make a recording on the Twitch.

Thank you

I could be wrong about this, but I believe if you have Aero enabled and the window is not minimized, then Window Capture will only capture the window you tell it to capture, even if another window is on top of it. I haven't played around with window capture a ton to learn all its ins and outs though, to be honest.

I'm using Basic Win7 Scheme with Aero disabled if you're suggesting this.

If I use Aero the stream is flashing from time to time.

So I tried enabling Aero and it worked.

Thank you. But isn't there another way how to do it with aero disabled ? Aero is bringing another issues I'd have to sort out.

/edit

So it seems that the flashing occurs only when using 64bit. So I'll keep Aero enabled since I'm now using 32bit version of OBS. So thank you very much once again.

You only need to use the 64bit version of OBS to stream 64bit games (such as Minecraft and WoW). 32bit is the better version of OBS, so it's good that you're using it. Glad it's working!
