I have seen many threads about Wildstar streaming issues but non seem to be detailed enough help or it was an easy solve by that person, which non I have tried worked for me, I can stream anything else and I have no issue, its JUST this game.

Windows 10 (had same issue with windows 8)
i7 - 4770k @4.0
R9 270x (I'm stream with crossfire OFF)
res 1920x1080 @144hrz

I have both OBS and Wildstar running under admin, I've tried running wildstar in 64 and 32 bit versions and both have the same issue.

I get that "screenshot effect" on OBS when I first launch the game I can see my mouse moving around when game is running.
Ive tried window capture/ with full screen/borderless.

Ive tried doing game capture in fullscreen/borderless, all I get is a blackscreen on OBS . I have come here for help and see if I can get this figured out.

EDIT: The only way I can get the game to work is in monitor capture. Which I just tried and I think is odd.

I dont think you have to run either app as admin with windows 10. try removing all run as admin or compatibility modes for both apps.

I originally did not run as admin, before I started going out looking for some kind of help on multiple forums, that's when I tried running as admin when I saw some people recommend it.

I'll try changing compatibility and see if this works.

Yea, with both running at comparability for windows 8 , same issue. Monitor capture works so I'll just stick with that.

Also , if both game and OBS are not running as admin , it does not pop up on this list when I try setting up game capture.

Sometimes it does that, dont use run as admin and dont use compatibility mode. have you tried OBS MP?

OBS MP is the newer version of OBS that is still in developement. Like a sequel of sorts that was rewritten from scratch to fix some deep-rooted issues.

Anyway, you should play your game in windowed mode (or pseudo-fullscreen windowed mode) and use Window capture. If you do this and play in 720p, you can then also stream in 720p for better image quality. Try out the various checkboxes the window capture has in its settings (especially compatibility mode) to see if any of them improve anything.

Also, definitely run both OBS and Wildstar in their 64bit versions, there's no point in using 32bit of either if a 64bit version is available.

Thanks for the help, I'll keep as is and in the future check out the development version of OBS and see if it does anything and update this thread if the results are different.
