Question / Help Streaming to Twitch and Youtube

So as a gaming YouTuber, streaming is something I mix into my content 2-3 times per week.
I enjoy streaming, and my fans enjoy watching it, but I am also looking to grow a twitch stream at the same time.
Wondering if any of you have any ideas on how to stream the same stream to both Twitch and YouTube

Ideas I have had:
-Use a program that can stream to both (OBS has this feature planned but not implemented yet)
-Use 2 programs on the same computer (may eat up too much CPU and require me to stream in a lower quality)
-Use 2 computers and split the USB signals (doesn't work as far as I know)
-Use a computer to stream to twitch, then use a second computer to capture the twitch stream and rebroadcast to youtube or visa versa (Would work, but would likely result in degraded video quality on the second source)
--This is the only feasible one I can see for now, and has the benefit of only really having to setup the stream on one computer.
--It also may be possible to do this on one computer with 2 streaming programs to save some CPU (since it wouldnt have to process the greenscreen, mic, game audio, game video, webcam, and overlay a second time)

Any other ideas? I know there are many smart brains on here. I am sure I am missing out on a good idea. I have seen the current solutions, but they seem very complex and/or out of my reach. Looking for a solution for the average guy.

Currently it's difficult to stream to two locations at once, our new version we're working on (still some months away) will be able to do this natively, without having to use two different encoder instances. Other than that, running OBS1 with -multi is the only thing you can really do right now. Or perhaps rerouting it somehow. It's not easy.

Thanks for the reply. I am in the middle of testing my 2 computer solution. By streaming first to twitch, then capturing that and rebroadcasting to youtube, I should be able to minimize the loss (youtube compresses everything to death anyways). I will be sure to make a tutorial on it to help others if it works out.

I am sure it will work. Thanks again for the awesome support and software. Has helped many of us a lot.

If bandwidth is not an issue, and you have a second computer lieing around, you could always use a capture card and stream from both PCs, one to Twitch and the other to Youtube. You wouldn't have to split the USB signals. Your PC that the game is running on would just have a HDMI passthrough between it and the monitor. USB would go to the other PC running the second OBS or capture card software.

If you do use a capture card with OBS make sure you use one that OBS already has support for. I tried both Roxio and ElGato, and I returned the Roxio because at the time of writing this ElGato was supported by OBS.

You could also set up a server on your second pc. And stream to that. View it with vlc. And use obs on that to stream to twitch, and use obs multi to stream to YouTube. Use your main pc for the game, layout and everything else, and use obs to stream from the main pc to the server. That's what I'm working on now
