Bug Report Streaming Sc2 and huge fps drop ingame while streaming

Hi guys,

i have a problem that happens everytime i stream Sc2 using OBS my settings are :

resolution: 1600x900
quality: 7
Bitrate: 3000
my upload speed: 5 mb
appreciate your help cus the fps lag only clears after i restart the pc

Your CPU is really really underpowered for streaming. Pick a lower resolution (2x or 3x downscale at least) and a lower bitrate (~1000). It might still tank your FPS though...it's really not a great processor, and streaming is heavily CPU-limited.

Because SC2 is pretty CPU heavy, and your hardware is likely getting choked trying to stream and play at the same time. What are all your SC2 settings? Are they on low already?

You can maybe try increasing SC2 process priority in Task Manger, that may help.

Well, that's a first gen laptop i7. They were pretty underpowered at the time, because of all the power sacrifices that had to be made for getting them in laptops. And like I said, SC2 is pretty demanding on CPU. Your frame times in OBS seem good, so try changing SC2 process priority in Task Manager. That may help because it will tell the CPU to give more priority to the game.
