Bug Report Streaming/Recording Sample Rate Incorrect with OBS 25.0.1

I was just looking through my logfiles, and it appears multitrack audio with CoreAudio AAC installed is being processed at 44.1kHz sample rate.

All of my devices, as well as OBS itself are set to use 48kHz sampling, but the logfile says otherwise:
03:00:05.630: [CoreAudio AAC: 'Stream Mix']: settings:
03:00:05.630: mode: AAC
03:00:05.630: bitrate: 160
03:00:05.630: sample rate: 44100
03:00:05.630: cbr: on
03:00:05.630: output buffer: 1536
03:00:05.632: [CoreAudio AAC: 'Microphone']: settings:
03:00:05.632: mode: AAC
03:00:05.632: bitrate: 320
03:00:05.632: sample rate: 44100
03:00:05.632: cbr: on
03:00:05.632: output buffer: 1536
03:00:05.633: [CoreAudio AAC: 'Desktop']: settings:
03:00:05.633: mode: AAC
03:00:05.633: bitrate: 320
03:00:05.633: sample rate: 44100
03:00:05.633: cbr: on
03:00:05.633: output buffer: 1536

Confirmed via VLC, all the audio tracks in the local recording are 44.1kHz.
Is this a bug with 25.0.1? I'd rather avoid any kind of sample rate mismatch issues if possible. Reviewing an older recording with OBS 24.0.3, the audio tracks are correctly set to 48kHz.

I can't seem to reproduce this. Your log shows your Mic at 44.1KHz and also OBS at 44.1 KHz:

Code:
01:01:18.458: ---------------------------------
01:01:18.458: audio settings reset:
01:01:18.458: samples per sec: 44100
01:01:18.458: speakers: 2
01:01:18.460: ---------------------------------

I assure you, my mic is set to 48kHz, as is OBS, unless there's somewhere else it needs to be set?
This is after a straight upgrade from OBS 24.0.3 to 25.0.1, no alterations made.

I had a similar issue previously with my Magewell capture card having its audio sample rate set at 44.1kHz through the Video Capture Device source, and have had to add an Audio Input Capture source to get it to cap properly at 48kHz. Unsure if related, but mentioning.

(edit) After switching OBS to 44.1kHz, restarting, then back to 48kHz and restarting again, a test recording shows proper 48kHz output. No idea why it got 'stuck' at 44.1 after the upgrade, but toggling it seems to have knocked it loose.

I've had a similar problem. I can verify via my DAW (Reaper) that my audio interface is set to 48000. If I record my voice it records 2 semitones flat which is about the difference between a 48k sample and a 44.1 sample. If I set the audio sample rate in my DAW to 44.1 I get the same effect of sounding 2 semitones flat. This verifies that the interface is sending at 48 but OBS is set to 44.1

Even though the GUI says the audio is set to 48 khz the log file says otherwise.

16:27:38.667: WASAPI: Device 'Microphone (4- io|2)' [44100 Hz] initialized
16:27:38.667: [Loaded global audio device]: 'Mic/Aux'
16:27:38.669: Switched to scene 'Scene'

Nothing I do, (Restarting, even re-installing) seems to allow OBS to actually record audio at 48 khz.

I have the same Issue but is even extranger in my case.
I work with protools Mbox2.
I entered the Mbox device and it were set in 44100. Probably caused by obs itself.
Since u cant change mbox 2 set up from the control panel cos it doesent show the option of 48k, I entered protools to change it and I couldnt cause OBS were kidnapping the sound card.
I quitted obs and changed to 48k from protools this time.
Opened OBS again... And now, it doesent detect theres any sound in that channel.
Meanwhile protools detects sound entrance without any problem

Meanwhile OBS sound settings were set in 48k the whole time. but seemsthat sound is not working in 48k for some weird reasons.
I changed obs to 44100 and back to 48000 nothing in either of them.

Hello Guys,
I have seen the same issue, but I have new information about my kind of this issue. I have configured 4 audio sources. 2 outputs and 2 inputs like microphones.

In this setup, have fixes 44.1khz sampling rate. A switching between 44.1 and 48khz has no effect. I have changed this to

And now I can sample by a rate of 48khz. I hope this information is helpful to find a solution for you. I think the sampling rate is depend on the count or the kind of configured audio devices.

USB PnP Device is a external USB audio device from beyerdynamics
Realtek(R) audio is the onboard audio device of the main board
SC450usb is the USB version of SC450 from t.bone

best greetings
