Question / Help Streaming Questions

I'm a little new to streaming and I had a couple questions. Currently I game at 1080p/60fps with crossfired 7970's. I know that because of the way that OBS interacts with direct game capture, crossfire cannot be used therefore I have to lower my settings in some games to get 60fps.

First question, is it possible to run a capture card either in the same machine or a secondary one to bypass the issue with OBS disabling crossfire? If yes, then is there a way to stream 1080p/60 with this? I have been looking at the Avermedia Live Gamer HD but I have read reports that it can only do 1080p/30. Is this the case even if I am using OBS to do the actual encoding/streaming?

Any help would be appreciated

You shouldn't even try to stream at 1080p60, since many people will be unable to watch the stream due to flash player being bad at decoding.

So either stick to 1080p30 or downscale to 720p60? Man, flash needs to work on that, that really sucks. Thanks! Any idea about the crossfire?

People do two-PC streaming all the time, with one PC for gaming and one for streaming/capturing via capture device. It'd probably be the best bet. We can't really guarantee things will work properly with crossfire, though SLI seems to work fine in most cases.
