Okay guys sorry if this has been said and answered before, just curious. When I stream Dota 2, I like to alt-tab out of it when i'm not playing to look at things. When I do so, my stream freezes and doesn't continue to stream the dota 2 window. Is this normal, and how can i fix it to continue streaming the dota 2 window if possible? Please and thank you.

This is normal if you are using Game Capture and playing DotA2 in fullscreen. You can play the game in borderless window mode to still have the game showing when you tab out.

I'm unable to find the bordless window mode you speak of. And just to make sure, you do mean that this will keep the game streaming (like playing/running, not stand still screen) while I tab out?

Maybe it's called "Windowed (Fullscreen)" in DotA2 I can't remember. And yes, it will do exactly that. The problem is with tabbing out while the game is in fullscreen mode, it actually minimizes the game and stops rendering.

Okay, was confused. I thought "Windowed (Fullscreen)" was on the OBS application, not in Dota 2 itself. Thanks, it is fixed. I appreciate all the help!

Yes, if you play the game in borderless window the game will continue to move when you are alt tabbed. Look under video settings, then go to display mode change it to Borderless Window there.
