Question / Help streaming over http with obs

i was wandering if there is a way to stream to a http location with obs instead of using rtmp. the reason why is i am trying to make a html5 based stream site and i found a few ways to do so but it would be much faster if i could directly use a http path in the server section in obs broadcast settings

New version (rewrite) will be capable of it, current windows version is not

Hi, Is there any update on the ability to stream to a http target using OBS? I want to stream to dacast and they strongly encourage http. My first choice in OS is Windows, second choice linux. thank you.
