Question / Help Streaming on older PC/low upspeed

I just installed Open Broadcaster and have looked at some of the settings explanation threads and have toyed around with some different settings while playing Amnesia: The Dark Descent, but my gameplay just seems to lag a bit while streaming.

My question is, is there any real hope for me steaming anything of decent quality with this PC:

Intel Core2Duo 3.0 GHz
4 GB DDR2
Geforce 9800 GTX+
1 Megabit upload speed.

I will give that a try, thanks for the suggestion. As far as the quality slider is concerned, is 5/6 about this highest I can go? And with my limited upload speed, is there any chance I would be able to go from 540p to 720p?

Tried your recommendations hilalpro, but still have the same issue. I wouldn't really say it's a huge issue as I can still play the game, but the performance drop I get just isn't very enjoyable. I believe my system is just a little too outdated to get the results I want.

did you remove monitor capture from the scene ? i would say also lower the graphic's of the game..

i agree about performance, there is not much hardware capabilities for a great looking stream at those specifications.

Yes I removed the monitor capture, and I even lowered the game settings to medium with same result.

Looks like I should just try again whenever I upgrade my system in the future. Thanks for your help though, it's much appreciated.
