Question / Help Streaming on a low quality PC

While saving up for a new PC, I've been trying to stream on my current low quality one. It seems to just stress out my computer too much, but if there's anyway to get a decent stream going, that'd be cool.

Specs:
AMD Athlon II X2 250 Regor 3.0GHz Socket AM3 65W Dual-Core Processor
ASUS M5A78L-M LX
GTX 550 Ti
4GB Ram

That CPU can't handle realtime streaming and gaming at the same time. You may have some luck with a huge downscale (like 240p) but I doubt it.

The key to being able to stream on as little CPU as possible is to use Super or Ultra-fast preset, lower framerates, and smaller resolutions. Your upload speed appears good (though Speedtest is a crappy test for streaming), so you can probably give it extra bitrate for the resolution in order to somewhat compensate, as extra bitrate doesn't really affect your CPU much.

And of course pick a game that is older and doesn't use much CPU in the first place.
