Ok, I made a thread before for streaming on my upload speed which you can find here.

https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/fluctuating-not-bad-but-annoying-ping-while-streaming.17071/

I found a thread with someone of similar upload speed and copied his settings which is found here

https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/low-upload-any-way-of-of-streaming.3535/#post-20023

After copying settings there was MASSIVE improvement on overall quality of my stream and not to mention a great deal of ping subtracted from my games.

However, random pings spikes have not gone away. They will happen at random every 1 or 2 minutes and this does not happen when I am streaming. I am curious if anyone can give me advice on eliminating these spikes, I am not too sure if there are QoS settings to tinker with, router settings, or something as simple to be done in task manager. I would like anyones input on the matter.

Like I said in the first thread I posted, I never had issues on my old 1mbps connection sharing with other people. So I cant imagine the case now is my upload but some in-efficient prioritization on my end

a log would still be really helpful :)

as i read through your other post i just noticed that you literally opened the same thread again

long story short you were lucky before that you had no ping problems but now after you moved it is how it is ... all you can do is lower the bitrate.

you might try using something like 350-400bitrate with an 200-250 buffer and go with 480p 25 fps and maybe the fast preset without all the custom commands

I just used your settings and I think I just hit a sweet spot, I still have spikes but they are far less drastic, thanks alot :D

nice to hear, but its really hard to find good and working settings... you might try playing around with minimize network impact if this changes things up deactivated activated and so on and see how much it changes sometimes on some networks its better to deactivate this feature and sometimes its not another story for every other user :)
