Question / Help Streaming Mutliple Audio Tracks

Is there a way to set this up? A plug in or something?

I'd like to use OBS to stream an RTMP video feed with two audio tracks. Game / system audio on track one and a mic on track 2. And then on the receiving end use OBS to consume that feed and be able to mix those audio tracks separately.

Does anyone know of a solution for this?

Thanks.

You can assign multiple devices to a single audio track and stream that, but you cannot stream multiple audio tracks with RTMP, no.

If you're doing this on a LAN, use NDI for this.

I would very much prefer NDI -- but alas no -- I have four people across the country.

I wish there was a way to route NDI over the net without a bunch of latency ridden vpn overhead.

RTMP does not support multiple audio tracks. It does however support surround-sound up to 7.1 IIRC. You could use something like the Rematrix plugin in conjunction with something like VAC or Voicemeeter; have your remote users send their desktop and mic on different channels (say front stereo for the desktop, and center for the mic as they tend to be mono anyway). Then break each out on your end through VAC to assign them to separate virtual audio devices.

More than a bit hacky and labor-intensive, but a possible workaround.
