I work with a high school robotics team in the FIRST Robotics Competition. We are working on getting better archives and streams of our robotics competitions.
Here is an example match that was streamed and archivied. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MiFuoGALbfs
That stream was done using the standard elgato game capture software, it was streamed live to twitch and the software allows you to record clips and upload those clips while the stream is still going. This is very useful since our events are broken up into matches and getting archives of those matches up in near real time is really useful.
We want to move to using OBS since it will give a lot more flexibility with using overlays for scores and information. Does anyone know of a way to clip recordings in OBS without having to start and restart the stream? Stopping and restarting seems to break the stream? Every time it stops it has to restart the elgato capture which takes some time.
Thank You,
Allen Gregory
