Question / Help Streaming-Keyboard/Webcam Freeze

This is not a every time problem when I stream, but when using OBS to stream games onto twitch, My keyboard does not work and my webcam freezes and I am forced to restart my computer. I am not sure of the problem, I have updated drivers and the newest version of OBS. I have a high end gaming pc, if anyone knows or has had this problem, the solution would be wonderful because it is annoying to have to restart my pc and start over again.

@also I usually leave my pc on and play games without streaming and this problem does not happen ever, just when I stream it does this occasionally.

Do all your USB devices stop working? Sounds like it might be a hardware problem.

I thought that at first, but my my headset and mouse still work in the freeze.

Check the Device Manager. Use the 'view devices by connection' option. See if your webcam and keyboard are running off the same USB host controller.
If you unplug the keyboard and plug it into a different port (or back into the same port, test both ways) does it return to normal operation?

This is where I am stuck at on your instructions, I am on device manager, and viewing connections. Not really sure how to view to see if they are connected on same thing..

Oh neat, I never knew you could view devices by connection...that just helped me figure out which USB ports were my Intel ports.

Sean, expand the ACPI x64-based PC and then PCI bus. You should then be able to click around and find all your USB controllers and see what devices are connected to them.

Also I appreciate you guys working with me on this issue weather it be my pc or obs, if this got solved my world would be better lol.

You'll need to expand everything that says USB Root Hub and USB eXtensible Host Controller to see what devices are connected.

That's just the USB 3.0 controller; there is likely another USB host controller on one of the other busses (very few systems have only USB 3.0 ports).

My motherboard provides 6 3.0 usb ports only in the back, which is where my webcam and keyboard are plugged in. The only thing plugged into a usb 2.0 on the header is my usb headset.

I have also tried to update my keyboard and webcam, so hoping that will help also. I will try to start streaming again and see if the problem occurs again.
