Question / Help Streaming + Higher quality local recordings?

So I have no problems with OBS when it comes to streaming. Recently however I have been uploading my streams to Youtube for my viewers to catch up. The recordings are watchable but I would love to increase the quality if possible.

To make it clearer; I'm looking to improve the quality of my local recordings while streaming at the same time.

At the moment I am streaming PS4 content using my PC and the Avermedia Livegamer HD if that makes a difference. Here is the log file from my last stream https://gist.github.com/91d830fd5aba030df91b

Would any other info help?

You can open a second instance of OBS using a -multi switch on the shortcut target. Then set up that instance of OBS with your record-only settings that are better than the other OBS's streaming settings. Easiest is to use the 32-bit install for one, the 64-bit install for the other. You can additionally use a -portable switch to make each OBS instance save its settings separately.

Of course, this will require encoding twice, which will use twice the CPU or so, depending on what settings you use. I use NVEnc (Nvidia GPU) for my save to disk at 1080p and x264 for my stream at 720p. This way my CPU only really has to encode once.

I believe the Multiplatform version does this natively, no need to run it twice, btw.
