Question / Help Streaming from Laptop through a mobile phone

I have a live steam event that I am steaming/recording here next month. I don't' know if the location has wireless or a LAN connection I can plug into. I am wondering if I can stream via OBS on my Laptop and use my cellphone as a wireless hotspot?

May work or not. You should test this at home. Nobody keeps you from making your cellphone a wireless hotspot at home and your laptop logging in into that wifi network instead of your home wifi network. Disconnect any LAN cable in your laptop, of course.

Yes, using your phone as hotspot can work. Will it? will it be stable/reliable? will you run into WiFi interference issues? all... maybe
I'd certainly try to use an USB connection, before WiFi, if possible/practical with your setup (to avoid possible WiFi issues)

Also, if at event with lots of people, realize your upload bandwidth via cellular may not be as stable, high, etc...
