As far as games, trial and error. Watch your CPU and RAM usage. Try to stay under 80% to give yourself some breathing room. Also test your upstream by running a 6MB test at http://testmy.net/upload as speedtest.net is worthless for livestreamers.
Raw system specs don't really help. Did you have a game in mind? I'm tempted to recommend Space Quest or Secret of Monkey Island though, given that wide open a field. And that they're awesome games.
