Streaming causes wifi to crash- any fixes?

Hello everyone! So, I lately got a new pc- I will say, the pc parts are pretty old. I had to buy an AX1750 (which is an incredibly cheap wifi port) since the computer was built to only allow ethernet. I was able to update everything and game just fine- I can only use Windows 10 because my CPU is too old for Windows 11. I'm wondering if being on Windows 10 or my cheap wifi port may be the reasons my stream crashes, or if it's a wifi issue. It doesn't seem to be an OBS issue.
Fixes I've tried:
-Changing from IPv6 to IPv4
-Checking to see if it's my server or any of my OBS settings
-Making sure all my drivers are up to date as much as they can be
-Restarting my router
-Disconnecting all decices from my wifi so it is only my phone (for my Vtuber model) and my PC connected

Pretty much, within 3-4 minutes of my stream, it crashes. It tells me something about my stream key not being found after the wifi crashes. And it's not just OBS that loses connection- I mean my Wifi router flashes. I lose connection fully on everything- phone, tv, pc, laptops, my family's devices...
It did not crash for a good 10 minutes on my starting screen, but once my model or a game is in the scene, my wifi shuts down. Is there anything I can do to prevent this without connecting to ethernet? Would connecting to ethernet even help if I did? (I dont want to connect to ethernet because I only have one place in my house that my router can be plugged into so I'd need to run a 100ft ethernet cable to reach my room upstairs)

Is it possible that it's my CPU? Should I have Spectrum come look at my router? Does anyone have any absolute answers for what's crashing me?

real-time video encoding is computationally demanding... so you have to adjust your expectations (and Operating System and OBS Studio settings accordingly ... largely an art, not science... and what to change.. it depends)
- and that means everything else needs to be running well/properly (both software and hardware)

a Cheap WiFi adapter and livestream are a terrible combination. a quick test would be to use Ethernet and see if streaming works fine then ... if yes, then you know where your problem is (for the moment, until Oct '25).
Using WiFi for video to connect to OBS Studio PC, then sending out video over same WiFi... really bad idea. could work sometimes, maybe, with right setup... but at that point, highly unlikely to be worth the effort

What can help (sometimes, it depends) with an ancient CPU is offloading the video encoding to a GPU (from CPU) when possible/practical

Win10 free security updates ends this Oct... you'll need to either convert to Linux; pay M$ for a 1yr extension of security updates, and then getting a much newer system; or getting the newer system before Oct.
