Hi there

Firstly I would like to thank the developers for this software, it's fantastic! :D

I would like to know please what settings would be optimal for my connection.

I have a 1Mbps ADSL connection that downloads at 100kbit/sec and uploads at around 46kbit/sec, I have a i5 760 at 2.8GHz, 8GB RAM and HD 6870.

What settings would you recommend for me, Battlefield 3 is a FPS game that has high motion.

I don't mind about the resolution but I would like to have good quality and fps on the stream without is affecting my ping, so I would like to use around 80% of my connection speed for the stream.

I will not be streaming audio, just video as I can not figure out how to only stream the Battlefield 3 audio and not the Teamspeak.

I am currently using the following settings:

Encoding
Video Encoding:
Use CBR (unticked)
Quality Balance: 10
Max Bitrate (kb/s): 212
Use Custom Buffer Size (unticked)
Buffer Size (kbit): 212

Broadcast Settings
Delay (seconds): 15

Video
Base Resolution:
Custom: 1024x768
Resoution Downscale: 2.00 (512x384)
Filter: Bilinear (fastest)
FPS: 25
Disable Aero at Startup (ticked)

212 kbps bitrate is not going to really give you anything with good quality, especially for a game that requires high motion. My best advice is to talk to your ISP and consider upgrading your Internet.

Download speeds won't matter upload does though, plus most isp gives you way more download than upload anyways. I wish it was all symmetrical. Anyways unless you can get faster speeds you won't really have a great stream even at a lower res.

Streaming is NOT possible with your current Network Speed. Like already mentioned , think about upgrading or consider recording your games with obs locally(many people forget that obs can also be used to record and not just stream) and upload them to youtube!

What quality settings should I use for recording locally?

Here is a guide: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=2972 I also change the x264 preset to ultrafast since I prioritize performance over space.
