Streaming at 720p and recording at 2k ¿It is possible?

Hi,

I'm trying to stream at 720p resolution (screenshot 1). Everything is ok but when I record at the same time, the resolution is the same 720p and I wanted it to be at a higher resolution (2k at least)

I use the OBS option --> Settings > Output > Recording > Change output scale > Launch / 2560x1440 (screenshot 2).

When I do a test recording, it still shows the same 720p resolution.

Is there a way to stream at 720p and record at 2k at the same time?

Hola,

Do it vice versa.
In Settings > Video, set the bigger of the two resolutions as output resolution (usually the recording resolution)
In Settings > Output > Streaming > Rescale Output set the resolution you want for streaming
In Settings > Output > Recording > Rescale Output set to disabled, since you already have this resolution as output and make sure you explicitly set an encoder as video encoder. Make sure you don't use "(use stream encoder)", since that has the other resolution.

That's it. I was doing the wrong configuration. I just did what you said and when I tested it, the recording I got had a good resolution.

Thank you very much!!
