Question / Help Streaming a prerecorded File

While I am familiar with streaming a Live stream, I seem to be failing at getting OBS to broadcast a prerecorded file.
The files in question are in MP4 format and I have been having issues using Window capture as a source from Media Players

Try using the Video source plugin.

Hmm, no joy. The Video Source plugin looks like exactly what I need, but is crashing OBS in both 32 and 64 bit operations, whenever I try and save a playlist.

Not a single issue playing and capturing an MP4 here; using Media Player Classic Home Cinema ( http://mpc-hc.org/ ), may want to give that one a try.

Thanks will check that out. Have 3 files, about 2 hours, I am supposed to be Broadcasting tonight... and right now it ain't happening with OBS/MediaPlayer.

It has some stuff at the bottom (MPC-HC) but just disable everything in its View menu and you should be able to just capture its Inner Window (with Window Capture) and have only the media file you're playing recorded with OBS.

Mind you, make sure to Enable Aero, whenever Window Capturing, I mean.
