Question / Help Stream sound looping

I have had an issue with stream sounds looping while I am broadcasting and I can't figure out the issue. It gets so bad and annoying that I have to mute my desktop while I stream. I'm not sure what options I have

Are you watching your stream while you stream? You might be picking up your own stream playing back on the stream if you don't mute your stream.

I do leave the obs project window open while I stream, as well as twitch, but I only have game capture set up for scenes. So should i minimize both of them anyways?

If you have your Twitch window open, you might be picking up the sound coming from your own stream. Make sure your stream is muted in your Twitch window.

I did not realize that would be a major issue. That really helped me during my most recent stream. Now that I know how not to get the annoying loops I can feel more confident in my streaming. Thank you dodgepong.
