Question / Help Stream services cpu spikes

ok, im here to make another post of the same thing i posted last time, last time i was here i was asking around asking for help because my obs cpu usage would explode out of random making my pc lag for about 15 seconds every minute

then i switched to xsplit, and it was fine for a while, then began doing the same thing,

i tried the switch to xsplit because last time i was left in the forums with no help, nor suggestions.

but apparently in both obs forums and xsplit forums people just give up and let us sit here waiting for responses.

so today i was streaming and it was happening again, this time i grew tired of it and began streaming my cpu usage. although i was streaming on xsplit, it is the EXACT same thing i had on OBS. all im looking for is for suggestions.

^^highlight of getting the stream spike^^

the only thing i can think of is there being something in my pc like malware or stuff of that nature, and i was also thinking of defragging. im going to try these options and come back with my results. and its not my pc specs either, because ive had these settings on my programs since i first started streaming, and it randomly started about a couple months back, if the program is nice it gives me a break and doesnt lagg me out.

and im not postings any obs logs because last time i did, i was left in a empty thread with no response.

i will find the answer to this problem, i have found the same problem in other threads, and they are all ignored, left with nothing to go to.

Looking at your old posts, none of them were left without replies. Looking at your video, it's really hard to say what might be doing it. Have you checked so that your CPU isn't close to/overheating and underclocking itself for a brief period of time or something like that?

I see from your old log that you have an FX-8 series AMD processor, and these are notorious for doing things like this from time to time, either due to some power saving setting kicking in at an inappropriate time, or just for the CPU temperature approaching the TJ cutoff (usually 75 degrees Celsius).

thats interesting ive never thought about the under clock, because my cpu is supposed to have an auto overclack for 4.0 from 3.5, but i never thought it would underclock.

must be power save setting then, because my cpu temps vary from 40 cel to 60 cel depending on the weather, do you know where i can change the power saving?

IIRC even 40 Celsius is a rather high temperature for an FX-8 series CPU. I unfortunately only had an FX-8120 to test with, and I've since gotten rid of it, but I think the TJ cutoff is slightly higher on the FX-83XX ones.

You should probably look into getting new thermal paste and reseating the CPU cooler for your processor, or get a friend to help yout out with that if you're not comfortable with doing it. I tried getting a hold of a friend who has an 8320, but he seems to either be asleep or away, so I can't get word from him what the temp limits are like on it, sorry. You should be able to check it rather easily using Core Temp.
