Question / Help Stream quality

i've made a couple of vids using obs, and i have to say, its a great program.

however, it does not seem to be sufficint quality for my vids.

here is a sample.

its not badn, but i want to have superb 1080p quality.
can it be done?
my specs are:

fx8350 @(Ghz
crossfire 7970 matrix
win 7 ult. 64 bit

any suggestions? for example, i notice that my second gpu is on average 50% load. can't i use this one to encode

Nope, in that case it doesn't matter, which means you can record at a much higher bitrate. Did you edit your video first, or did you take the .mp4 you got from OBS and upload it directly to YouTube?

i used sony vegas pro to edit and chose the highest possible quality.
is there a way to use my second gpu for recording? or at least get some stress off my cpu, i think that's my bottleneck

I actually think your bottleneck is your low bitrate. Use this guide to configure your recording to hard drive: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=2972 . 3000 bitrate will constrain a 1080p recording, and although we can use it for streaming, for local recording you can do much better. That guide shows another way that is far superior. Don't go too crazy with your bitrate (or Constant Rate Factor) though, you can lag out your editing in Vegas if your bitrate is too high.

In case you have other bottlenecks besides your bitrate, post your OBS log file from a time that you captured over five minutes of the highest action whatever you're recording has to offer.

Oh and to answer your question, no one has implemented GPU recording for AMD yet. Nvidia or Intel only so far.

secondly,
can i use a third nvid card just for recording? i have a 770 collecting dust here
