Question / Help Stream photoshop without huge performance hit - DWM: Monitor Capture not working

Alright so this is something that has been bugging me forever. I can't seem to figure out a way to get OBS to stream Photoshop properly without a huge performance hit as far as both stream FPS and local FPS for me. The solution that seems like it would be best is to use DWM: Monitor Capture in the Game Capture source, but I can never get it to actually capture anything; I just get a black screen. I've tried running it in every compatibility mode, stopped all my outside hooks like Afterburner etc., changed my primary monitor and I can never get it to actually capture anything. I'm running windows 10, on desktop, with a 980ti, so it's not the graphics processor thing that some people were getting. Any ideas on what could be causing this? Also, game capture does work for actual games, just tested that. Thanks!

That's a windows 7 specific thing and not actually the solution on windows 10.
Have you tried a new scene with just a display/monitor capture?
