Stream or distribute synced A/V locally from one side of house to the other without monthly cost

Our setup: Mac Studio & MacBook Pro 16” both M2 MAX 12/30/16 64GB RAM, Mac Ventura 13.5

Hi, I’m new to OBS but with a brand new M2 MAX Mac Studio & M2 MAX MacBook Pro 16” I now have the power to do what I’ve always hoped to be able to do. I’m trying to record all of my original songs into Logic X and would like my wife and life partner to participate. But she’s severely disabled and stuck in bed most of the time.

I would like to send a live feed from our dining room, which has been converted into a tracking/mixing & open-backed vocal booth (moving blankets on 3 sides of an old exercise workstation - open in back) recording room. So I don’t really need to stream out to the entire world, just send the live feed from our dining room to the Master Bedroom.

I’ve looked at Marshall cameras and could probably get this done w/ one of their CV570 or CV574 cameras w/built-in ethernet & HDMI, record video on one if the new Macs & distribute the live HDMI feed to our HDMI DA which feeds the 4 main rooms with AV systems in our house. But a Marshall camera with the features I need is going to cost $800 minimum.

I also have two 1080p webcams that I can use for now just to get started. I fired up OBS but it immediately asked me to select a streaming service. And there are so many to chose from - that I know absolutely nothing about! Is there any way to just stream my live feed locally, from our dining room to the bedroom WITHOUT having to pay for an outside streaming service?

And if there is a way to use my two existing 1080p webcams I’ll need to extend the built-in cables by at least 15-20 feet. So, any suggestions on the best USB-A powered extension cable would also be greatly appreciated!

Eventually would like to buy two Marshall cameras and record a closeup AND mid-wide shot of all of my tracking/live performing into Logic X. Is it possible to record live stream video at full/best 1080p resolution, with synced audio I will send the cameras from my UA Apollo +4db I/O interface via the camera’s audio input, while feeding that same AV-synced live stream to our bedroom thru our LAN, all on the same computer?

If not, which computer would better serve the Video recording? The M2 MAX Mac Studio ? Or the M2 MAX MacBook Pro 16”? I have all of the music software already installed on the Mac Studio. So if I have to use a second computer to handle the video recording and local distribution it would be better for me if I could us the MacBook Pro for video and let the Mac Studio handle all of the music stuff.

Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
