Problem Statement: So I used to be able to stream just fine with really good picture quality but after one of the updates on the Classic OBS it started to muddy and be pixelated. For example:

In-Game Res: 1024x768 (Black Bars)

Network:

Hardware:
  • Motherboard: ASUS Z97-A
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K
  • Memory: ADATA XPG V2 Series 16GB DDR3
  • Hard Drive: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB
  • Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 G1 Gaming
OBS Studio (0.16.6) 32-bit - Settings
Server:
(Closest one to me that was also recommended by TwitchTest tool.)

I would appreciate any help on this subject. I stream/game on the same PC FYI. Let me know if there is any other info I can provide you guys. Thanks!

I've also messed with the Bitrate from 2000, 2400, 2500, 3000 and 3500 with same results. Also changed CPU usage from Fast, Very Fast, Medium.

In-Game Res: 1024x768 (Black Bars)

Your in game res is 1024x768 but your obs settings are downscaling from 1080p to 720p? Where's the logic?

Put your ingame res to 1080p and use the lanczos downscaling filter

Hey Black Ops,

I rather not play in-game at 1080p, I play this way for performance to get the most FPS.Are you suggesting that I change the Output (Scaled) Resolution?

Your GPU is more than sufficient to maintain over 60fps in this game. Is there a reason why you need fps higher than 60?

The reason why you game is blurring is because the GPU is rendering the frame at the 1024x768 resolution which is pretty low.

Don't change the output scaled resolution. Change the resolution in the CS:GO game to 1080p

This is at 1080p its basically the same result. What I was doing before was playing in 1024x768 with Black Bars and then under Game Capture I would "Force Scaling" so its streched for the stream so viewers don't have to see the Black Bars...

I believe this is the best one from last night when I streamed for an hour.

Same issue persists when I use ShadowPlay as well. It just makes no sense at all...
