Question / Help Stream is pixelated

Hi..

So I've tried pretty much every thing now.. I've searched everywhere for some kind of fix for this, but I can't seem to find one. Whenever I stream CSGO, my stream keeps pixelating when there's action.

My PC:
Zotac GTX 680
Intel I7 3770k

OBS Settings:

Internet: 60/12mbit

I'm pretty much lost by now, as I can't seem to fix this problem whatsoever

Easy sorted with your CPU I know as I have a similar CPU first put upload to at least 3000. And the preset to very fast as your CPU can do very fast and sometimes faster. You can also put the frame rate to 45 if you really want. Honestly I don't bother using lanczos as it tends to block things up then let them be smoothed out by bilinear.

If you would like my exact settings then I would be happy to help. If you want to see my stream I can send you the link same as I can watch your stream to help you to if you like. Just note you will pretty much always gets blocks with fast movement until you go to the fster preset and 3200 bitrate up but these are hard to watch and process.

Hello, I'm having Mads Sorensen's same problem, except I have an i5 4670k, GTX 760, and 8GBs of ram, I'm also trying to stream Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

I also get 20 upload and up.

I'd really like that, Lee. Can you add me on steam: http://steamcommunity.com/id/momentplz

You also should never touch the Advanced settings because if i compare them to mine there is a lot different. just reset them to standard. (I have for "x264 CPU-Preset: veryfast" and "Encoding profile: main" because that is the most obvious thing after changing upload.) And make sure that buffer is the same as upload.

Some questionable advice in this thread, and some settings changed for apparently no good reason.

@Mads Sørensen Unless you're partnered you probably want to stick with 720p30 in the 2000-2500 Kbps range to help reduce the chances that your viewers will get buffering. Maxing out your bitrate at 3500 Kbps makes that problem much more likely.

- Under Settings > Encoding check "enable CBR padding" and uncheck "use custom buffer size". Set your bitrate to 2500.

- Under Settings > Advanced put your x264 preset to fast, your 3770K should be handle to handle this for most games.

- In CS:GO be sure to either enable vsync or cap your FPS at something reasonable like 120 using the fps_max cvar. You can also launch with the -high switch to run the game with a higher process priority, which some people find helps their game performance.

If for some reason you have weird performance issues with the game then go back to Settings > Advanced and turn the preset down to faster or veryfast.

I was just giving advise from my settings as an unpartnered streamer meant no confusion. Those settings work for me and I also stream csgo. Note though I do not stream to twitch I stream to hitbox.TV so maybe with twitch keep to sapiens advice. Sorry again guys was just trying to help.

I will add you on steam either later or tomorrow as working right now so I can watch your stream and tell you if the pixelation is too much or if its OK from a streamer and viewers point of view.
