Question / Help Stream is black

i just got this and i've been trying to record for about 1 hour and i have been trying to fix the problem within that time too. i have a pc but i only have one screen is that the problem? i really want to fix this so that i can start making videos for my you tube channel. i decided to switch so i need to get this fixed fast so i can start uploading again. thanks in advance =D
