Question / Help Stream From my PC to my Laptop using HD CAPTURE

So I want to use my laptop with obs software to stream gaming on my desktop using an HD capture card.. My question is are my only options using an external (HD capture card) being that im using a laptop? and can i stream 1080P using one?

pc spec - i5 3570k
660ti 3gig
16 gig ram

laptop spec- i7 3610
670m 3 gig
16 gig ram

Any help on this would be great I already bought the laptop from a friend now doing my research first thinking this would be easy!

to stream u must have Gaming Capture HD from elgato or gaming capture usb/card to capture any gaming consoles or pc that support OBS

If your laptop has USB 3.0 ports, buy a USB 3.0 capture device (xcapture-1, avermedia U3). Avoid USB 2.0 devices like the plague if possible.

Can I stream in 1080P using an external hd capture card?

depend on imput hdmi or dvi to gaming capture card is recommand to have 1080p, not work with tv catpure sorry
