Question / Help Stream freezing very often

Hello,

For the past week or so I've been trying to stream using OBS and Twitch.tv

Here is a log of my most recent session:

my upload speed via speedtest.net is 5.75Mbps

I've tried multiple streaming sessions at these settings as well as lowering the quality to very low. With good quality and with bad quality I have the same problem. The stream runs fine for 7-8 seconds at a time, and then freezes on one or two frames for 2-3 seconds. It does this the entire time I'm streaming and is unwatchable.

Any suggestions on how I might be able to fix this? Is it a problem with my ISP?

Your log shows no problems. Do your VODs look OK? If so, then the problem is most likely on the viewer's end.

Sorry but what is VOD ? My preview screen looks perfect, but anyone who tries to watch my stream, including myself experiences this when on Twitch.

VOD = "video on demand" = the video of your stream

In that case yes it's fine. The viewport on OBS during my time streaming looks very smooth and fine

On a side note, my stream doesn't seem to have any options besides "720p+" for quality on the site. Is there a way to enable viewers to watch a lower quality?

You can only get more transcode options if you are a Twitch partner.
