Question / Help stream fps dropping

Hi guys, i have been streaming with a i7 8700k @4.8ghz with a titan xp and noticed recently my stream FPS drops (no drops ingame and also way above 60 fps) so my question is what could be the cause of this, what should i change, or have a look for

I have the same problem .. i went from 4790k to 8700k ..i had no problem streaming with the 4790 ..but my frames are dropping in OBS with the 8700k ..mainly in PUBG and even if the FPS stays at 60 ..it is not as smooth as it should be

also my CPU is barelly under load .. on" faster" preset with 6000kbps .. i have combined cpu usage around 40-50%

Try setting the bit rate lower. To around 2500 and set the CPU to fast or medium.

it is most definetly not the cpu .. for example with those settings i can easily stream Watch Dogs 2 maxed .. with a 5-7 FPS loss ingame .. also i can stream AC: Origins .. but in PUBG the stream drops frames.

But when i TAB out of the game to the second monitor ..the frames stay at 60 ..when I go back to game, they start dropping again

Setting the CPU to fast or medium makes the CPU work harder. It'll make it look better. Also, your bit rate is too high for streaming. It'd be totally fine for recording local, but twitch caps out around 5mpbs.
