Question / Help Stream Deck keeps saying "please launch OBS Studio"

Not sure if I should be posting this here or not but due to elgato's reddit and forum pages seem to be quiet inactive I thought I might ask here...

I just got my Stream Deck for christmas and everything is working nicely except for OBS with the Stream deck, when I try and use stuff on my stream deck which requires OBS such as scene changing, sources and mic mute it also pops up with "please launch OBS Studio" which it is, I looked around and no one else seems to have the issue (what I can find atleast) has anybody else had this issue at all? they are both installed on the same Hard Drive and I did install OBS Before the stream deck so everything should be working correctly but is not

Stream Deck had a recent update. I'd suggest updating to the current version 1.6.2.2981
- Make sure you have Stream Deck plugged into your computer's USB port on the front header or back panel (not a USB switch or hub).​

- If you installed Stream Deck first before OBS, reinstall Stream Deck

IM up to date and had OBS before the stream deck still nothing

Uninstall and reinstall the Streamdeck software. Usually this happens when the installer doesn't install the Elgato OBS plugin properly. As their plugin handles all of the interface with OBS (as far as I'm aware) if it isn't installed right/working then the SD software won't see OBS as running.

Similarly, if you installed OBS to an alternate location, it'd be possible that their installer may not be 'smart' enough to go find where it's installed; you'd have to check if the plugin exists in the default OBS install location, and copy it over if that is the case.
