Stream crashes almost every time

Hello everyone,

This is my first time posting in the forums, so I apologize if I miss something. I started streaming a month ago, and everything has gone great except for one major problem: my stream crashes almost every time. I don't drop, miss or skip frames, and my upload speed is 22, but I think it may be a stability issue? I have tried switching servers for quality purposes, but I still crash. I was looking to get clarification before I contact my ISP. I didn't realize that a log file was created every time you opened OBS and not per stream, so I cannot upload my last log file as I've opened it again since. I'm not too good with the files, but I'll copy/paste the message it has when it crashed. If anyone could take a look, maybe help me figure out the issue, and recommend what I tell my ISP (instability issue?), that would be great! Thank you so much.

Does your provider support adaptive bitrates?
Hi, and thank you for responding! I’ve only been streaming for a month, so I’m very new to everything - please bear with me. If I don’t answer the question, please dumb it down a bit. So in the OBS advanced settings, I have “dynamically change bitrate” checked (I also had enable network optimizations checked but unchecked it to see if it’ll make a difference next stream.), and I do see the bitrate varying in the bottom right corner while streaming. I drop absolutely zero frames due to network. My stream will randomly crash (always at different times), and I don’t know until chat tells me. When I look over, OBS says I’m still streaming, but the bitrate is at 0 and the stream is not up on twitch anymore. I hope this helps

Or if you’re asking about twitch (again, I apologize) I did a quick googled search and read that ABS is automatically handled through their servers.

Please try the following:
- Switch off again the "dynamically change bitrate" and
- set in the Output->Streaming section the "Rate Control" to "CBR".

Proof if that works better then.

Rate Control is set to CBR. Running a test stream currently without Dynamic Bitrate checked, and I drop frames due to network. I will try it without the enable network optimizations checked. After that, I will try lowering bitrate. Thank you for your help!

Yepp. Using a fixed bitrate (conservatively choosen far below your upstream capabilities) is often better than using the dynamic adaption, which is scratching the edges...
