Question / Help Strange stuttering only during the live

Hello everyone,

In advance I apologize for my English.

I need your help because I have a problem that I can not solve. I stream in 720p / 60fps with 6000 bitrate, everything works fine, OBS does not indicate any loss (the log will be attached), no drop due to the connection, none of my components is overloaded (~ 30% CPU & GPU), but where the game runs perfectly well for me, there is periodically a kind of slight stuttering (a few seconds) that occurs for the viewers.

No matter how big the game is, whether it's an AAA or a small 2D indie game, it happens.

I'm on Windows 10, I disabled everything related to the game mode, I don't know what to do more ... Friends tell me that they also have this problem, but it does not seem to bother them more than that.

My PC:
-Ryzen 7 2700X
-16 GB DDR4 3200
-GTX 1070 Ti
No crash, no particular problem except this stuttering when I look at my vod.

Thank you in advance and sorry if I do not put this message in the right place.

I don't see anything in the log. There is apparently a long history of certain users complaining of so-called "micro-stutters" on single PC rigs with Nvidia GPUs-- an inconsistency in framerate that is not logged and does not have an identified cause.

Create a clean Scene Collection with only "Game Capture" source added and test again. Make sure you are capping your FPS at 60.

Also, make sure you have the latest version of Windows 10 (1903), as my personal tests show they have finally fixed the (insert naughty words here) CPU scheduler for Ryzen chips and I got a 8-15% performance boost in my use case (Gaming, streaming, encoding).

So i've done the update 1903 for W10, but no improvement so far... I don't understand why there is so much micro-stuttering. Maybe it's "normal" with a 1 rig setup streaming, i thought the Ryzen would be enough to handle that...

Maybe its the version of OBS.
I have the same problems with the 23 version of OBS. I made a downgrade to 22 and it works again.
Just download 22 and install it.

I dont know if the new version that released yesterday work again.
Maybe its a try worth.

Thanks Toastfalter. i'm gonna try that.

I found that "Screen Capture" was Micro-stutter free, it's the only way to get rid of the Micro-Stutter but i can't use that method. Game capture and Window capture produce micro-stuttering. it's so weird...

Little update,

Still no solution to this problem. I found that I was not the only one to have stuttering on the rendering (obs). No drop of any kind reported in the log as already specified.

After doing a lot of tests, I noticed that rendering stuttering was happening on recent, heavy games. On more modest games (Retro, 2d independent games etc...), stuttering is very occasional and difficult to perceive.

In fact, I think there is a problem with the rendering the gpu does to obs. Even if the GPU is only under 50% load, when I try to capture a "heavy" game, I have stuttering. Whether in window capture or game capture. Only the screen capture is stutter-free, that is something i don't really understand.

No solution for the moment so, but if I have something I will come to keep you informed.
