So I'm trying to achieve two things with my setup.
1 I have my gaming desktop which has OBS installed on it and I have all my scenes etc. setup on it.
2 I Intend to stream to an RTMP server which I am ideally setting up in a VM using my prox mox server so that I can multistream from it to various platforms.
3 I have a 2.5Gb symmetrical Internet connection so bandwidth is no issue (with a 10Gig LAN backbone over Fiber and SFP+
The 2 issues i am seeing are weird ones. If I'm feeding the stream from my main PC to the streaming server is there a way to configure OBS (on the RTMP server) so that as soon as OBS is started (or the VM that its running on is) it automatically "goes live" , I.E. what you would achieve by hitting the "start Streaming" button, otherwise how is this achieved aside from logging into the second streaming machine and manually hitting "start streaming" every time you want to stream. Ideally pressing start streaming on the gaming PC and having the streaming machine start to stream to your various destinations would be ideal but I have no idea how to achieve this.
Finally is there a simple yet effective way to be able to combine my chats for the three services (I use Kick, Twitch and You tube) easily and efficiently so that I can type chats into one window (ideally on a second monitor of my gaming PC in the OBS client) and have it relay to the three destinations?
Thanks in advance these two things have been puzzling me for a while!
