Question / Help strange audio echo

i just got open broadcaster and had gotten everything set up, but when i started testing my mic it started echoing, so i plugged in my headphones in and im still getting the echo, and when i watched obs the mic wasnt giving any output it was just the normal audio kept looping does anyone know how to fix this?

Make sure it is muted, so that you don't re-record the stream's audio as it comes through.
