hello,

i was on the OBS discord earlier, and they could not help so i figure i might give this place a try.
i was recording as per usual when i needed to stop the recording. i pressed the stop recording button which then changed to "stopping recording". this stopping phase usually only lasts a second or so, but this time it took a long time, so after waiting ages i decided to force close OBS using task manager.

i record in MKV, but i can not play the file at all.
other recordings i made with the same settings, even one where the computer crashed, do play just fine

OBS is up to date
VLC is up to date too
and the drive i am saving recordings too still has around 200 ish GB of free space

i tried remuxing the corrupted file and the progress bar does not even appear (i know i'm doing it right cause i remuxed another recording which worked just fine)

i have some log files from that day, but i am uncertain which one it is specifically:
the name of the corrupted recording is 2018-08-06 19-45-27.mkv
the log from right before that time (2018-08-06 18-59-04.txt) is just an empty .txt file, so i hope its not that one
the one from right after that time (2018-08-06 21-12-50.txt) i am going to upload with this post

i hope one of you can help, cause this is a just under 4GB recording of MMO gameplay, something which you can not simply reshoot

thnx in advance
Cytos

Recording session in that log is only 2 minutes log, so I don't think it's that one.

The log does say you need to update your AMD drivers, though.
