Question / Help Still cannot remove my game cursor while streaming from OBS :(

I am using a 2 computer setup. My gaming machine (i7) outputs via HDMI to an Elgato HD Pro PCIE on my Stream machine (Ryzen 7). I believe I have OBS setup correctly. Latest version, etc. I have several scenes: "Starting Stream," "Intermision," "Ending Stream." My actual stream scene is named "Primary." In there are my sources ... my webcam, the elgato video capture, all my overlays, etc. In the OBS settings, I do have the option checked to not show the cursor. I know that I have to go into the properties of my sources to also turn off the cursor. However, in my elgato source, there is NO option to turn of the cursor.

Help Me :(. Should I have some other source in addition to the elgato capture, do I need OBS on the gaming rig still??

I don't think it's possible from how your have it set up, but someone else can correct me.

If you use OBS on your gaming PC, it has access to all the layers (cursor, game, desktop, etc), hence why you can tell it not to show your cursor or have it show the game that's underneath the browser window you have open. But because you are using a hdmi source, you can't remove anything from it after it's sent cause it's just one layer essentially (or it's really different to remove).

What you might be able to do is use OBS on your gaming PC, remove the cursor, then send the OBS preview to your streaming PC. It's a little more complicated though and requires another monitor.

Basically, if you right click on the preview window in OBS on your gaming PC, near the top is an option Fullscreen Projector (Preview). You can set this to show your preview window in full screen on this other monitor and send this input to your Streaming PC.

Of course, you either need a second monitor to do this with, or trick your gaming computer into thinking the Elgato is a second monitor and display to it directly. I do not own this card so I don't know if that's even possible.

I have the Elgato HD60 with a dual screen setup. I tested the above by plugging a third cable from my video card into it, it sees it as a 3rd display and I can tell OBS to preview on that "display". I would assume it would work for you too, but I don't know for sure since our cards are different.
