Static in Audio

Hey. This is driving me nuts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have this weird static when recording with OBS. An example of the sound is here: https://youtu.be/MjVOk85irKs

The problem is intermittent. I thought I had it fixed twice, but it keeps coming back. I know the mic signal itself is clean since it records into Pro Tools 100% fine. I route from Pro Tools back into my interface (Universal Audio Apollo) and then from there into OBS. There are no filters or effects on the audio track in OBS. I've made sure all the sample rates are the same across devices, I've tried multiple different record settings, no luck... Any ideas?

Thanks,

Sounds to me like constant analog electronic hiss, through a noise gate. Could that be what it actually is?

Yeah I know. That's exactly what it sounds like. But there's no gates and no noise outside of OBS ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

OBS's audio is a mess. I've seen several people on this forum that insisted that OBS was clean, and then discovered something that they forgot they were playing with some time ago and didn't remove. No indication that that was still there, except for the problem that it caused.

Check all of your scenes for audio sources, and any filters on those sources, and for filters on groups and scenes too. Settings -> Audio for more sources, and you get to their filters from the audio mixer.
