Yeah transparent png or gifassuming you're saying a png that is semi-transparent? I've got a good imagination and some pshop skill, but don't know the procedure for overlaying a semi-opaque/transparent image in obs
Well as long as you do it correctly and saved png yeah it should be. A way that I use 1280x720 resolution setup on my stream so on this case have the screenshot that fits correctly(as in record a local video in OBS, open it with VLC and use the snapshot feature) then have that snapshot as a background(last bottom layer) in Photoshop... then add in the layer of the blurred faked image and place it where you want it exactly, then just hide the snapshot image(last layer) - save it now as a PNG. And your full image shall have a transparent background that will be the same resolution you use in OBS and well the blurred faked image part shall be exactly positioned where you wanted it when added on OBS.Bingo gotcha- so easy to load an image in obs and save that as a setup?
