Question / Help Starting the output failed?

I set my output settings to NVENC output encoading, and it gave me this error message -

Starting the output failed. Please check the log for details.

Note: If you are using the NVENC or AMD encoaders, make sure your video drivers are up to date.

I went and updated drivers and error log still the same...

If you have anything that is using cuda acceleration open while trying to use nvenc it wont let you use it. As an example I once forgot to close adobe premiere pro and when I tried to stream and record it gave me the same error message

If that doesnt work try changing your settings back to "default" and "main" and "none" instead of trying to select a quality option, preset, and number. That may fix the issue if that is what you have it set to now.

So this has been a pain for me to fix but this simple thing worked. Go into your settings under output then recordings and change the level to auto. Hope this works for you!
