Question / Help Starting The Output Failed. Please Check The Log For Details. I NEED HELP!

Recently, I've been trying to stream and record myself making beats via OBS Studio on Twitch and for the most part it was working. I've recently taken an interest in streaming/recording video game game play, but it isn't going that great for me.

Every time I try to stream or record with my Encoder set to "Hardware (NVENC) I get the error that tells me the Starting The Output Failed. Please Check The Log For Details. And so I did just that.

At the bottom of my log I found this

Do you have any other programs running that might be using an NVENC session-- another screen recorder, ShadowPlay, Oculus Rift software? I believe your GPU supports NVENC, so the error can appear if you are over the number of allowable NVENC sessions.

Windows and OBS are also both out of date, so it may be worth running those updates and checking that your drivers are up to date as well.

well i actually use stream labs to stream/record and once i set it to that setting for encoding i get that error but i do not know how to get the logs through stream labs, can you provide a set of intrustions for me to update windows because I dont want to mess that up

We don't provide support for streamlabs' version of obs.
As for updating windows, type in "check for updates" in the start menu
