start videos

hi! Complete newbie in OBS.

I'm currently using OBS to try to salvage my video-exam....

I've done 4 finely tuned videorevordings of my self, based on a script. They are all tuned and synced down to the detail, and I want to rund them as if they were in a video conference together (I'm having a discussion with myself).

So i added the sources, positioned them in the prewiev window. But how do I get them all to start at exactly the same time? If the 4 videofiles are off sync only a fraction of a second, the timing in the conversations wont work (I'm not gonna stream this, just record)

Can you please elaborate?
Do you mean that as soon as you press a button the 4 recordings will start at the same time?
Or do you mean that when you press a button, a recording will play, and as soon as it ends, the next recording starts?
I'm pretty sure OBS can't do that, as it is for recording and not editing.
Otherwise, the best thing I can come up with (I'm sure someone else can do better), but maybe you could create a hotkey in the settings and the hotkey tab if you are using a media source to play the videos?
Or you could maybe use editing softwares and splice them together?

I'll try to elaboarte more. (pardon my bad english skills, as I'm norwegian, and engslish is by far NOT my native langaue. I probably misspell a lot)
I used Openshot editor to create 4 different recordings, and edit them there. Unforutanley, OpenShot does not support multiple pictures at the same time. So, these four videos are individually timed, so that if played simontaniously, the act as if is a conversation between four people (all played by me).
My idea was to use OBS to play these four videos at the same time, but then it is crusual they all start at the exact same time. (The output - or stream as you would call it - it looks like a videoconference with 4 connected persons having a conversation)

Here. i made a quick and shitty little video to explain. This one is totaaly out of sync, cause i coulndt start the videos at the same time. Also it only contains two streams instead of four.

Can you then import them all to OBS as a media source and then create a hotkey that starts all of them at once maybe?

So, based on the video link I posted (I'm not sure whether you can get it), but you could set a hotkey if you put all 4 videos as a media source and then set 1 hotkey to start it.
