Hey guys,

I want to start streaming but i don't really know alot about how much value should be given to the different factors, so i'd like some help to get a proper foundation, if possible, and then continue on from there with som tweaking.

My upload according to speedtest.net sits at around 50-60 Mbps

CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-2700K CPU @ 3.50GHz
Ram: 8 gb
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570
Resolution: 1920x1080
OS: Windows 7

If it helps, i'm planning on mainly streaming Dota 2.

Well, you certainly have amazing upload speed. You can set your bitrate/buffersize in encoding to like 4000/4000 or up safely with no problems, streaming in full HD if you wish. Just make sure to change your twitch server to one of the closer servers and you should be okay, I think.

If you wish to use twitch, you can get your stream key from http://en.twitch.tv/broadcast - from there, you just paste they key into the stream key box, select a server, set the bitrate/buffersize in encoding settings, create a capture source of some sort in the main window, and you should be fairly good to go.

Worked like a charm, Jim. :)

Thanks for the help and thanks for one of the best and most simple streaming programs i've ever seen!
