Start/Stop Recording hotkey doesn't always work

While i'm in some games the hotkey doesn't seem to do anything when pressed. Tested both on a keyboard and on a mouse pretending to be a keyboard.

Is this expected behavior? Any tips for getting around this? I am using numpad for now

It would also be nice to have a way to confirm I am recording without looking at OBS or its taskbar icon, since I only have one monitor. Not exactly a feature request, more like asking if anyone knows

Nevermind I was stupid. I have to run OBS as admin. Somehow I had not tested this properly before apparently.

I will mess with the shortcut so that it always runs as admin.
