Question / Help Start Recording Button Not Working when using NVENVC lossless rc.

I have seen some other threads having the same problem but selecting the encoder to be nvenc is not working like it is for others.

My Log File Is Returning this line.
17:21:53.151: [NVENC encoder: 'recording_h264'] Failed to open NVENC codec: Generic error in an external library

I will provide any other info.

Something to add I do have the newest drivers for my gtx 760, driver version: 372.70, and I am running the beta for geforce experience.

You can't use lossless with the GTX 760.

o'rly now? But isn't cqp = 0, lossless also? If so then I can record on that without a hitch.

So is it automatic for obs to just not let you click the start recording button when your system is below specs? If so then would be nice to be told that it is.

Just had a friend test, he has a 6 core cpu, and a gtx 980 ti. He is getting this error also.

This is a different error but still a problem.

This is a different error but still a problem.

As you already said yourself, this is a completely different error. It should be in its own thread, with its own accompanying log. Without knowing the settings used while trying to invoke NVENC, the best we can do is basically throw darts at a board of possible guesses.
