It took me a few hours to finally get SW:KOTOR to actually show up as a Game Capture Application but now I have an even more annoying problem I can't seem to find a fix for. The in-game stuff shows up fine but whenever the game cuts to a pre-rendered cut-scene it just shows a blackscreen. I was pretty rattled after I realized my 2 hour file was basically useless because of this problem, is there any known fix for this?

Yes there is a fix, I found it myself today after some time. Add monitor capture as well as game capture to the sources. Game capture will capture in-game stuff and when cutscene is played the monitor capture manages to capture it. Also game capture should be above monitor capture. Having 1080p screen and playing kotor also in 1080p with flawless widescreen app this workaround works flawlessly.
