"Spout2 Capture" appears in sources but frame empty

I'm trying to use the OBS Spout plugin (https://github.com/Off-World-Live/obs-spout2-plugin) with Synesthesia. When I add a new source the plug-in sees Synesthesia (I had to enable SPOUT output in Synesthesia). I have changed the name of the SPOUT sender in Synesthesia and the new name is reflected in OBS so I derive from that that OBS sees Synesthesia.

Do I need to change anything else on OBS to enable this source (the eye symbol on the source is active).
